Essay Question- Project 3

For project number 3- it took a lot of 'tweaking' to make the word or even the project as a whole flow. From picking the correct font that would portray your word or making it seem as though it had a story to tell. In the end you really wanted the word to describe YOU. and although it may sound easy it was a bit more then just the "pick five words that describe you"  Art elements considered for this project were: flow, size- this definitely played in important role in the project as a whole. If one word was off kilter or too big. It would kind of throw a wrench into the whole thing and would effect the flow of the project as a whole. Another art element that i think played an important role in this project was scale. Again if the scale of a word or words were off it would interrupt/ dishevel the whole of the project.
         How i implemented
Emphasis: I implemented emphasis in my design by making certain words bold(er) or larger. Making them the focal point of the design.
Scale/ Proportion: I implemented scale and proportion into my design by playing around the scale and proportion of certain words. By changing the scale from large to small or large to medium it can effect the whole design. Proportion plays an important role as well just positioning a word in a different way or adjusting it so it is proportionate to both sides and not throwing of the 'flow' of the design.
Unity: Unity was used throughout my designs by using similar color or scale throughout.
Repetition: Repetition is used throughout this design, with certain letters appearing multiple times through-out. For example the letter 'O'

As you can see many different elements and forms were used to make this project as unique as it was.  Unity brings the whole piece together to have a good visual flow.
